Maya Ravensong is an Artist working in many different mediums. From dance, to writing, to paintings on canvas, silk and on the body, Maya creates healing art for herself and others.

Maya's art is a mix of strange, beautiful, sometimes humorous or wyrd forms- all of which can bring healing. She paints mostly with her fingers, though she does use other tools as well. She sometimes uses a magnifying glass to get into such small detail that, to some, it would seem pointless- but her, is completely the point. Maya has published one book “BodyArt Therapy” and is currently working on a tome where she explains how to become one with the divine and heal through dance.

Maya attends different events throughout the year. You can find a list of those events here

Continuing Education Classes

Throughout the year I teach continuing education classes for Bodyworkers. All meet the requirements for mandatory continuing education hours required by NE and IA for massage therapists and bodyworkers.

BodyArt Therapy

"Body Art Therapy is the use of Body Art with the goal of causing a positive change physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually through the application of art on the body in accordance with bodywork philosophy, knowledge, assessment and skill." - Rev. Julia Lawrence Bodyart Therapy 1st ed. 2012

Julia began her journey with temporary forms of bodyart in 1996 with henna. As the years and decades went by, she expanded the mediums she uses to include jagua, glitter tattoos, temporary tattoos, gliding paste, edible 24kt gold and pure silver leaf, and temptu. Besides applying her talents to make people feel beautiful or bold she also used these arts to help people bring about change within themselves with intentional art on the body.

In 2010 Julia graduated from massage therapy school leading her down another healing path which branched off into a new massage modality that combines massage and art on the body - BodyArt Therapy. Her book was published in 2012.
