Maya Ravensong is an Artist working in many different mediums. From dance, to writing, to paintings on canvas, silk and on the body, Maya creates healing art for herself and others.

Maya's art is a mix of strange, beautiful, sometimes humorous or wyrd forms- all of which can bring healing. She paints mostly with her fingers, though she does use other tools as well. She sometimes uses a magnifying glass to get into such small detail that, to some, it would seem pointless- but her, is completely the point. Maya has published one book “BodyArt Therapy” and is currently working on a tome where she explains how to become one with the divine and heal through dance.

Maya attends different events throughout the year. You can find a list of those events here

The last morning of the festival, thousands of butterflies landed on the carpets I use to allow people to "dry" after applying bodyart. This photo was taken early in the morning. Truly amazing.

Gaea Goddess Gathering 2017

September 14th through the 17th 2017. I have attended this festival since its inaugural year in 1997. I assisted with a workshop that first year and loved it. Since the second year I apply to present a workshop on my own related to healing and the theme of the year. It is a highlight of my entire year.

This photo was taken directly after I, my daughter, my best friend, my other daughters and Carrie Moonstar (one of the founders) finished putting up the backdrop for the stage in 2011. Little did we know it would be one of the last things Carrie and all of us would do together. Miss you Carrie! The three beautifully painted middle panels are by Cinda Hughes.
